Welcome to Local 24/7 Locksmith (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of locksmith services by us to you (“the Customer”, “you”). By requesting our services or instructing us to commence work, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Provision of Services & Identification
- We provide emergency and non-emergency locksmith services, including gaining entry, lock repairs, uPVC door repairs, and lock installations.
- Security & ID Check: For your security and ours, our engineers reserve the right to request proof of identity and proof of address/ownership before gaining entry to any property or vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse service if satisfactory identification cannot be provided.
2. Pricing and “Zero Call-Out Fee” Policy
- Zero Call-Out Fee: We do not charge a fee simply for traveling to your property.
- Quotes: Upon diagnosing your issue (either over the phone, via WhatsApp, or on-site), we will provide a fixed quote for the physical labour and any necessary parts. Work will only commence once you have agreed to this price.
- Cancellations: If you cancel our services after an engineer has already arrived at your property, or if you resolve the issue yourself while our engineer is in transit and fail to notify us, a minimum standard cancellation/labour charge may apply to cover the engineer’s time and fuel.
3. Response Times
- Our advertised “30-minute rapid response” is a target time that we consistently strive to meet for emergency call-outs across our primary coverage areas.
- While we make every effort to arrive within this timeframe, response times are estimates and are subject to traffic conditions, severe weather, and engineer availability. We cannot be held liable for any losses incurred due to unavoidable delays.
4. Gaining Entry & Property Damage
- Non-Destructive Entry: We specialize in non-destructive entry methods (such as lock picking and bypassing) and will always attempt these first.
- Destructive Entry: In instances where a lock is faulty, broken, or high-security (e.g., anti-snap cylinders), destructive entry (drilling the lock) may be the only option. We will always seek your permission before drilling and will inform you of the cost of a replacement lock.
- Liability: We are not liable for any pre-existing damage to doors, frames, or locks.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is due immediately upon the completion of the work unless a prior commercial account arrangement has been made.
- We accept payment via major credit cards, debit cards, contactless methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and cash. Our engineers carry secure mobile card terminals.
- All parts supplied remain the property of Local 24/7 Locksmith until paid for in full.
6. 12-Month Guarantee
- We provide a 12-month guarantee on all new parts supplied and fitted by our engineers, as well as a 12-month guarantee on our workmanship.
- Exclusions: This warranty is voided if the lock or part has been tampered with by a third party, damaged due to vandalism or attempted burglary, or subjected to misuse.
- Note on uPVC Doors: If a lock or gearbox fails due to an underlying issue with the door alignment that we advised you to repair (but you declined), the warranty on the part may be voided.
7. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
We pride ourselves on our 5-star reputation. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 7 days of the work being completed so we can investigate and rectify the issue promptly.
